Children travelling on parents passports
Please note that all passengers travelling on Air New Zealand from and to London/Heathrow must be travelling on their own passport.
As Air New Zealand flights NZ1 and NZ2 departing from and to London/Heathrow fly via Los Angeles in the United States, it is a United States government requirement that all passengers have their own passport. Therefore children who do not hold their own passport and are intending to travel on their parent's passport on Air New Zealand to Los Angeles will NOT be able to travel. They must be holding their own passport before they check-in.
This requirement includes those passengers travelling on NZ1 London/Heathrow to Auckland, and NZ 2 Auckland to London/Heathrow. These flights transit Los Angeles in both directions, which will require ALL passengers to leave the aircraft and go through United States Immigration.
