Important Information for all agents – New TSA Requirements
Air New Zealand will be required to provide the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) data for all passengers on flights to/from/via and within the USA from November 2010 at least 72 hours before the departure of the flight. The information required is additional to the APIS data:
The following passenger information is required
- Passenger full legal name (as per passport)
- Passenger gender
- Passenger date of birth
All airlines must transmit the required SFPD (Secure Flight Passenger Data) to the TSA 72 hours before flight departure.
Therefore in order to be compliant with these new guidelines there may be a requirement in the future to cancel bookings which do not contain the SFPD data.
Passengers may not be accepted for travel due to all flights being audited by the US authorities.
Air New Zealand is now sending automated requests to travel agents for this information for all bookings where required SFPD information has not been provided.
SSR OTHS 1G PAX DATA FOR TVL TO/FROM THE USA IS MANDATORY
SSR OTHS 1G ADD FULL PAX NAME/GENDER/DOB
SSR OTHS 1G NON COMPLIANCE MAY RESULT IN PNR CANCELLATION
If you receive a request for more information it is mandatory that you provide this data. We are currently working on the ability to add the SFPD data to passenger’s bookings through our website. However for now the information needs to be entered into the GDS.
The GDS entry formats are found on our Trade Website.
