Individual On–Demand System

With our individual on-demand Inflight Entertainment system passengers can watch what they want, when they want. And now they can get at least an extra hour of viewing/watching time on our flights from London, with our ‘ON&ON’ entertainment feature, which means the system is on from the moment they get on the plane until the moment they get off (from September 2008).

The System

  • Every seat features a high-resolution entertainment screen – across all cabin classes
  • A digital video and audio on demand system gives passengers complete control - start, stop, pause, rewind or fast forward
  • Active noise cancellation in Business Premier provides crystal clear sound
    Onboard customers receive a complimentary copy of our in-flight magazine which also includes information about the movies, video and audio entertainment options available on your flight.
  • ON&ON Inflight Entertainment (gate to gate) is available from September 2008 on 747 and 777 long-haul flights

The Entertainment

  • Blockbuster movies straight from Hollywood
  • A wide range of TV programmes are available - including dramas, comedies, lifestyle shows, sports features, travel programmes and documentaries
    A selection of single player games to keep the young (and the young at heart) occupied
  • Music channels to suit all tastes, as well as a selection of around 200 CD's to select from
  • A dedicated section just for kids, which features movies, games, music, stories and information
  • Information pages offer a wide range of destination and product information
  • An enhanced Moving Map with spectacular 3D fly-through displays, ocean floor explorations and day/night simulation

  • 215 music CDs and custom produced radio shows
  • 4 kids music CDs
  • 16 music channels including Chinese and Japanese programmes

The individual on-demand system is available in all classes of travel on long-haul flights between the following cities.

As well as the above, from August until December 2008 we’re progressively introducing ON&ON seat back Inflight entertainment on all A320s and 767s. Which means passengers on our Australian and Pacific Island flights can enjoy the same movies, programmes and music from they moment they get on the plane, till the moment they get off.
