Tiki Tour

What is it?

If you are looking for a flexible multi-stop airfare to New Zealand or Australia which offers an alternative combination of stopover destinations, then Air New Zealand’s Tiki Tour is a great option to offer your customers.

What does the Tiki Tour offer?

The Tiki Tour offers great flexibility and variety allowing your customers to meander the globe:

  • Flexible routing - customers can choose whether to fly round-the-world or travel out and back in the same direction, as long as New Zealand is reached before they return home
  • Multiple carriers – we have teamed up with Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines, All Nippon Airlines, British Airways and Dragonair to offer a variety of alternative stopover destinations
  • Stopover options* include:
    • N America – LAX, SFO, YVR, NYC, BOS, IAD, ORD, MIA, MCO
    • Asia – HKG, SHA, BJS, KIX, NRT
    • Pacific Islands – RAR
    • Australia – SYD, BNE, MEL, ADL, CNS, PER, OOL
    • New Zealand – AKL, CHC, WLG & 25 other regional airports

Why not take advantage of a multi stop in Asia using the ANA flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo or perhaps connect East and West Coast USA with United Airlines; both these options are available for a supplement.

*APW,TBU,NOU,VLI,IUE,NLK are permitted as regional add ons from AKL only. Please refer to the Add on contract.

So how do you book one?

We appreciate that multi-stop tickets are not always easy to book so we have tried to make our Tiki Tour fare as simple as possible.

  • Find your destination point
  • Work out which stopovers are free on the way to and from your destination
  • Work out which sectors and stopovers require a supplement to be charged on the way to and from your destination
  • Add your base fare to any stopover and sector supplements

Top tips at a glance:

  • Manually combinable with Tactical and Seat only fares
  • Using special override codes (Fare selection logic) it is now possible to quote some routings through your GDS - Currently unavailable for Amadeus users
  • Fares now filed in your CAT35 with Nett and Published options with the TIKI fare basis
  • You can use Virgin Atlantic and British Airways ex-UK to an Air NZ gateway (BJS/YVR/SFO/TYO/SHA) which can reduce the fare during peak travel periods
  • New codeshare available on Virgin Atlantic flights LONSFO and HKGSYD
  • Sector upsells on NZ flights to Premium Economy
  • East Coast USA options available using Virgin Atlantic services
  • Domestic USA flights options using United Airlines

Don't forget

A Tiki Tour is always issued as an Air New Zealand ticket – even if your departing UK flight for example is on Virgin Atlantic – so it is important to remember to collect only the applicable Air New Zealand YQ tax.

It is possible to combine a Tiki Tour fare with Air New Zealand’s year round and tactical seat only fares on a half round trip basis which will open up other pacific island stopovers.

For an additional supplement you can also take in any of the destinations Air New Zealand flies to within New Zealand.

Tiki tour is only available for sales from UK only.

Still confused?

Your contracts department will hold a copy of all the Tiki Tour fares and conditions and this should help you complete your booking quickly and easily.

If you are still confused about any aspect of a Tiki Tour then please do feel free to contact our Business Support Team on 020 600 7630 and we will be happy to help you with your Tiki Tour booking.
