Discover a revolutionary new way to fly
Our goal was to create the world’s best long-haul flight experience, one that looks after everyone on the plane – from families to business travellers to holiday makers – because we realise everyone’s needs are different.
And it’s not just the seats; no detail has been left unchallenged. We’ve even thrown out the rigid schedule so travellers can order snacks and drinks at the touch of a button on their screen. And we know that simply offering chicken or beef just doesn’t cut it anymore. So gourmet burger in the sky? Why not?!
The best sleep in the sky, just got even better

Our Business Premier cabin will deliver all the things our travellers love, with fresh new twists.
To give the best sleep in the sky, we’ve made our award-winning lie-flat bed even more luxurious. We’ve added a new, thicker mattress, a fluffy duvet and full size pillows – so it really will feel like you’re customers are settling down for a good night’s sleep in their own bed.
We’ve enhanced several cabin and seat features to ensure Business Premier provides the most adaptable space, whether travellers are working, sleeping or taking it easy. There’s also a fresh new on demand cuisine and beverage service to suit each traveller’s personal preferences, and each Business Premier space has its own 12.1” touch screen entertainment system.

Space for time together or for time out in Premium Economy

Our focus for Premium Economy was on creating ample space and privacy. The result is unparalleled personal space that can be shared with your travelling companion or keep to yourself.
The design of our revolutionary new Spaceseat™ means that the person sitting in front of you can’t recline into your personal space. And rather than simply tilting back as it reclines, your seat slides forward too – just like an armchair.
The seats that run through the inner space of the cabin have been designed for couples, so partners can relax together, sleep, or turn to face each other to share a meal. The seats on the outer space of the cabin cater more for those who need some uninterrupted work time, or for people who prefer to keep to themselves during the flight.
And for that added touch, there’s even a beanbag style “otto” for your feet!
Three seats or a couch?

Whether your customers are a couple who’d like a bit of extra room, parents with a young child, or a parent with two restless kids, you’ll find our innovative new Economy Skycouch is the perfect solution.
The Skycouch is a trio of three Economy seats that together create a flexible space for whatever travellers want it to be – to relax and stretch out in, or for the kids to use as a play area. It’s like having their very own couch on the plane.
Discover surprising new ways to enjoy an Air New Zealand flight

Our new state of the art Economy seats have been designed to provide a really comfortable rest. The armrest disappears right into the back of the seat, and the winged headrest now swivels more freely to better support the head. We’ve even added a specially designed sleep pillow that attaches to the headrest so that it won’t slip out from under travellers heads.
You’ll also find our new in-flight entertainment has loads more content that will keep your customers engaged from the moment they get on the plane to the moment they touchdown.
Food and Beverage

We know that simply offering chicken or beef won’t cut it in the future, so we’ve designed a delicious new menu for your customers. We’ve even thrown out the rigid schedule; instead we’ll be bringing travellers the freshest, tastiest meals we’ve ever offered.
Whether it’s delicious Eggs Benedict for breakfast in Business Premier, a mouth-watering pizza for lunch in Premium Economy or a gourmet beef burger for dinner in Economy, we’re sure you’ll agree that our updated menu will be better than anything your customers have ever tasted on a flight. They can also order snacks and drinks at the touch of their screen – even while they’re in the middle of a movie!
In flight Entertainment
The vast selection of activities on our new in-flight entertainment will keep even the most fidgety of flyers engaged for the whole flight. Not only will travellers be able to catch the latest movies they’ve been meaning to see, but we’ve also got box sets of all their favourite TV series’ for them to enjoy, as well as multiplayer video games, an exclusive kids’ section, a live news feed from the New Zealand Herald and some of the latest sporting clashes.
Prepare for take – off
Our new on board product will be available on our daily service from London to LA and Auckland from April 2011. This will be on sale from late April 2010.
Due to GDS limitations the Skycouch cannot currently be booked via your own system and you will need to call Air New Zealand direct.
