* Air New Zealand has increased the baggage allowance for Premium Economy customers booked in U, E, O, A and will offer the same allowance as Business Premier passengers for checked and cabin baggage. This is for travel on Air New Zealand services only and is not available for any itineraries with codeshare or other airline sectors. The allowance for NZ1 and NZ2 where the piece system applies in Premium Economy will be 2 pieces at 32kg per piece. For cabin baggage the allowance will be two pieces at 7kgs. For all other international Air New Zealand flights the checked baggage will be a total of 30kgs and for cabin baggage it will be two pieces at 7kgs.
This only applies to services where Air New Zealand operates the aircraft and not to tickets where other airlines make up part of the travel. For Round the World tickets involving other airlines the Economy baggage allowance will apply to all the sectors (for example, the NZ/VS airfare or the Escapade airfare).
Also if passengers have add-ons, for example on United Airlines to destinations in the U.S, they will receive the Economy baggage allowance for their whole journey. ?On any codeshare or interline tickets the Economy baggage allowance will apply to all the sectors. ?On sectors upgraded into Premium Economy using Airpoints, the Business class baggage allowance will apply.
